Refund policy

1. The short version

You may withdraw from a new subscription within fourteen days of taking it out. Renewal payments are not refundable. Where the Service does not work as described, the remedies the law gives you apply and this policy does not reduce them. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.

2. Withdrawing within fourteen days

When you take out a paid subscription you have fourteen days, running from the day the subscription is concluded, in which to withdraw from it. You do not have to give a reason. Tell us by any clear statement sent to support@medk.ai from the address on your account, before those fourteen days expire.

Because the Service begins immediately at your request, the refund of that first payment is reduced by an amount proportionate to what has been supplied to you up to the moment you tell us, measured against the full price of the billing period.

The fourteen days attach to the conclusion of a subscription, so a subscription taken out after an earlier one has ended carries its own fourteen days.

3. Renewal payments

A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until it is cancelled. Renewal payments are not refundable: the right of withdrawal attaches to the conclusion of a subscription and not to its continuation. You may cancel at any time, from the same place you subscribed. Cancelling stops the next payment, and your access runs to the last day of the period already paid for and ends there.

4. Where the Service does not work

This policy concerns withdrawal and cancellation only. It does not affect, and cannot reduce, the remedies the law gives you where the Service does not conform to what was described: to have it brought into conformity, and where that is not done within a reasonable time, to a proportionate reduction in price or to end the subscription and be refunded for what was not supplied. Where access ends for a reason that is not a breach of the Terms, the law of your own country sets the refund outcome.

5. How a refund is paid

A refund is paid to the payment method used for the original payment. Your bank may take a further five to ten working days to show the credit.

6. Cancelling, deleting, and refunding are separate

Cancelling a subscription stops future payments and leaves your documents in place. Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Requesting a refund deletes nothing. Each is its own clearly labelled action in your settings: Change card or cancel for cancellation, and the delete controls for your data.

7. Fair dealing

Refund claims shown to be dishonest, and chargebacks raised with a bank rather than with us, may result in the account being closed, with your right to export the documents you have uploaded preserved.

8. The law of your own country

Where the mandatory consumer law of the country in which you live grants you more than this policy does, that law applies and nothing written here limits it, including any national requirement to give you notice before a subscription renews. Write to us first at support@medk.ai. You keep every right you hold to take the matter to the consumer dispute body or to the courts of the country in which you live.
